The ABBA Dance Ohio Story

Behind the Movement

Since 2018, ABBA Dance Ohio has sought to provide excellence in dance instruction as well as Christian community through dance. ABBA Dance is designed to fill the need for a clean, Christian alternative to the average dance studio and to provide quality instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Ballroom dance. Our program is centered on God and glorifying him with our thoughts, words, and movement. We are dedicated to developing technique and properly training in order to strengthen the body and prevent injury. Teachers at ABBA Dance strive to not only train dancers in good form but to train student's minds in Biblical truth and discipline. Every class begins with devotional, Biblical discussion, and prayer. We believe that just as it is important to fortify our bodies it is exponentially more vital to fortify the minds of the next generation.

Meet Our Director

Rachel King, Director, Principal Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Welcome to ABBA Dance! Thank you for showing interest in our program

My dance journey began at my church. As a life long homeschooler I had the privilege to be a part of Psalmist school of Fine arts where I started my worship dance journey at age 2. My teachers over the years such as Inna Stabrova, Dmitry Tubolsev, Krista Morana and my Mom (who was my very first dance teacher) inspired me to pursue a career so I could pour into the next generation. My goal is to share my love of Christ and dance with those around me as well as create a space where people of all ages backgrounds, shapes, and sizes could pursue their love of dance.  Our program strives to create a firm basis of technique while teaching the student to love the artform and fostering creativity and self expression.
