Auditions
May 31st at the ABBA Dance Studio,
enrollment begins at 4:30 pm, auditions begin at 5 pm. Cost: $10 per dancer.
The audition process is very simple, there is a short dance assessment for each age group (8-10, 11&up) followed by brief individual interviews. The show is completely pantomime. All show participants must be enrolled in ABBA Dance for the 2025-2026 semesters. For the named character roles there will be callbacks the following week. Dancers who are called back will sent a video of choreography to learn for their callback. In order to participate in the ABBA Faith Over Fear Production dancers must be enrolled or enroll in ABBA Dance weekly classes for the Fall 2025 to Spring 2026 season.
Our Story
Introducing "Faith Over Fear: Escape From Pirates Cove"! A swashbuckling adventure, this show is our first non-Christmas feature length story production and will follow Kit, a timid village girl as she learns to trust God in every situation be it storms, sea monsters, or pirates! We are so excited to share this story with you in Spring of 2026, if you are interested in being part of ABBA Dance or part of our new production, we would love to have you join our Christian dance community.

Roles
Kitt- daughter of a merchant family, reserved but fiercely loyal to her family (ages 11 & up)
Olive- kit’s little sister, bubbly, gregarious, the life of the village (ages 8 and up)
Lissie- daughter of the local blacksmith, proficient in all manner of weaponry (ages 12 and up)
Calypso, the Dread Pirate Queen- cunning, cruel, deadly, the scourge of all coastal villages (ages 13 and up)
Cora- the Dread Pirate queen’s first mate (ages 11 and up)
Pearl- the Queen of the Ocean Waters (ages 11 and up)
The Duchess- the bumbling incompetent ‘guardian’ of the village (ages 11 and up)
